Title of News Story: Entrepreneurship in tourism can be highest employment multiplier: Economist Prof MM Goel
“For becoming job giver instead of job seeker, we have to adopt entrepreneurship in tourism sector capable of doing wonders with highest employment multiplier,” opined Professor M.M. Goel, former Vice Chancellor and Kurukshetra based economist .
He was addressing the students of Government College here today on the topic “ Relevance of Entrepreneurship in Changing Economic Scenario ” organised in collaboration with MSME-Development Institute Karnal .
Entrepreneurship of all kinds calls for action-oriented and highly motivated individual who is ready to achieve goals, said Goel.
To be motivated for self-employment, we have to adopt entrepreneurship in services more than manufacturing with ample opportunities including empowerment of consumers with competitive advantage, convenient, fewer hassles, quick adjustment to market conditions and low cost cloud shops , believes Goel.
To create entrepreneurship, we need to convert Khadhi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) into MNC which can give brand-name to the products under MSME for marketing online and offline, said Goel.
We have to be aware, alert, awake for the challenges in entrepreneurship and remain enthusiastic with all precautions including GST and cyber laws, told Goel.
Entrepreneurship can be people friendly and socially beneficial only if undertaken in accordance with NAW (Need, Affordability and Worth) approach for marketing of goods and services, said Prof. Goel.
