Enhancing visual intelligence by 3 types of drawing during Christmas: Go for non-art cognitive gains

During Christmas time, to enhance children’s visual intelligence, a session was held to provide an opportunity to middle school children to draw the symbols associated with the festival as shown in the inset pictures. The exercise was done for the non- art use of line drawing for cognitive benefits related with visual intelligence.

Continuous line drawing is made with uninterrupted contact with the surface of the paper with a pencil or sketch pen from beginning to the end of the drawing.

On the other hand, the Implied lines is drawn with disconnect between parts of a figure to allow viewer eye's connects them. It provides opportunity for the mind in filling visual blanks.

In successive line drawing, one starts with a known shape or structure and adds elements to convert shape into a recognizable object.
