The following three Agriculture Bills have been passed in Lok Sabha through voice vote.
The Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill 2020,
Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill
Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill
According to BJP, the passage the bill was a 'historic step' that would fasten the growth in the farm sector through private investment in infrastructure and strengthen supply chains by removing the bottle necks.
The three bills will be tabled in Rajya Sabha for passage to become Law.
Meanwhile, farmers of Punjab and Haryana are protesting against the bills.
