NON-POEM
The current peasant movement -
Peaceful farmers' protest 2020 -
It's cold fury,
Silent uprising -
To reclaim peasants' rights
To restore human rights
To rollback the Black Farm Acts.

The anti-farmer and pro-corporate agriculture bills
Meant to colonise farmland
To make farmers
Servile of
Ponzi corporate-run economy
That turns
Farmers and farmland owners -
Dhartiputras and Annadatas -
Into labour force
To enhance ponzi economy
To perpetuate misrule
During hard times

Farmers have awakened
Their rock solid movement
Withstood all
Barricading, pit falling, bulldozing, tear gassing, water cannoning
Pre-emptied all
Divisionary, distracting and discrediting tactics

The movement has sent shivers
Up the spine
Of rulers
Who took them for granted
And tried to trick them
And hoodwink them
With 'Kishanhit' tag for the Bills
With ‘gift voucher’ from the rulers
But wise, calm, collected farmers now
Know the difference
Between 'Kishanhit' and 'Kisan-Hit'
‘Munh mein ram-ram, bagal mein chhuri’
