Food stealing and hiding habit of squirrels: Short note and video

In my neighbourhood park, I placed some bread pieces and grains for the birds. I stood by with my camera a little distance away.

A squirrel use to sit around and watch me food being put on the park wall. squirrel would come swiftly and steal away the food and run to the near by tree and nibble at food. As soon as the birds would flock, she would keep watching till three to one one birds left and again steal the food.

Squirrels collect nuts and bury them, while some other squirrels steal them. The squirrels have been reported to sneak into stores and steal food. Squirrel also steal food of campers in the jungle.

Some people who bird feeders in their gardens, put pepper sauce or powder on the grains since birds hardly bother about the taste but squirrels get the irritating sensation and thus stopping them to steal birds' food. Squirrels not only chase away birds but also attacks them to keep monopoly over the food.
