VIEW POINT

Friedrich Nietzsche’s philosophy focuses on self-improvement, individuality, and accepting life, even in the face of suffering. His works motivate people to abandon inherited beliefs, herd mentality and blind followership and "become who they are" by creating their own meaning. Nietzsche saw suffering as a vital driver for personal development and finding purpose. He emphasized the need to accept suffering while working towards resilience. A key idea in his writings is the search for meaning through difficulties, often noting that challenges can build strength.

He encouraged individuals to dismiss the herd-mentality and blind followership. Nietzsche urged people to take charge of their lives, which means embracing all aspects of existence, including unavoidable hardships. He challenged conventional views, suggesting that truth is subjective rather than fixed, and warned against conformist attitudes. For Nietzsche, creativity and genuine joy were essential, with the arts playing a significant role in celebrating life. He promoted the idea of discovering inner joy and dance, even amid chaos.

QUOTES

  • Meaning and morality of one's life come from within oneself. Healthy, strong individuals seek self expansion by experimenting and by living dangerously. Life consists of an infinite number of possibilities and the healthy person explores as many of them as possible.

  • Religions that teach pity, self-contempt, humility, self-restraint and guilt are incorrect. The good life is ever changing, challenging, devoid of regret, intense, creative and risky

  • There are no facts, only interpretations.

  • The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

  • I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time.”

  • Thoughts are the shadows of our feelings - always darker, emptier and simpler.

  • Faith: not wanting to know what the truth is.

  • All things are subject to interpretation. Whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth

  • That which is done out of love is always beyond good and evil
