Bhagavad Gita Reference

In the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 16, Verse 5), Lord Krishna defines the core purpose and outcome of daivī sampat (innate divine qualities/wealth) versus āsuri sampat (demonic qualities)

Sanskrit Verse

दैवी सम्पद्विमोक्षाय निबन्धायासुरी मता ।

मा शुच: सम्पदं दैवीमभिजातोऽसि पाण्डव ॥

Transliteration

daivī sampad vimokṣhāya nibandhāyāsurī matā

mā śhuchaḥ sampadaṁ daivīm abhijāto ’si pāṇḍava

Translation

The divine qualities are considered conducive to liberation, and the demonic qualities are considered to lead to bondage. Do not grieve, O Pāṇḍava, for you are born with divine qualities.

Puport

Human birth and existence is a sacred orchestration, endowing us with limitless, dormant potentials and abilities. These innate gifts represent our true divine wealth— humans' spiritual offsprings that we are called to claim, nurture, and self-actualize for divine sake as purpose of our existence. While worldly systems often impose transient, enslaving and deluding frameworks, while humans true growth requires us to invest our energy inward. By engaging in continual learning and contemplative-reflective practice, we rewiring our consciousness, brain and awaken the embodied soul. To truly thrive, we must be in the world but not of it. By shifting our focus from outer materialism to inner actualization—through deep reflection, divergent thinking, intuition, and meditation—we honour and revere these inner innate gifts for their own sacred sake. Ultimate fulfillment is realized when we transcend worldly gains, unifying the observer, the process of experiencing, and the experience itself into one dynamic, soulful existence - a meaningful and purposeful human existence

Inspired Poem

You are a spark of the divine,

A gift brought forth by grace.

Within your being, a hidden line

Of powers you must trace.

Think of your gifts as children small,

They need your patient hand.

Tend to the light, and heed the call

To help your spirit expand.

The world is loud with passing things,

A maze of shifting light.

But look within to find the springs

That set your vision right.

Learn every day to refine mind,

To break the imposed shell.

Leave world's noisy rush behind,

And learn to listen well.

Be in the world, yet let it drift,

A shadow on the glass.

Focus upon your inner gift,

And let the illusions pass.

Create, reflect, and seek the whole,

Forget the lure of gold.

Grow in divine light of your soul,

Let the inner gifts unfold.
