Google marks Happy New Year’s Eve with animated doodle and I with a reproduced article

On December 31, 2020, the internet search engine giant marks the 'Happy New Year’s Eve!' on its home page with an animated doodle depicting a cuckoo clock ticking away to welcome the year 2021.

"It’s been a cuckoo year, but 2020’s clock is ticking. The countdown begins now, and when the clock strikes midnight a new year will spread its wings!" stated Google website.

Here, I reproduce my article on the New Year's Eve

The New Year Day is most celebrated observance across the world. New Year Eve is celebrated to end the past year and herald a new year. "Celebrate endings - for they precede new beginnings," as Jonathan Lockwood Huie puts it.

.However, some spiritualists and existential philosophers hold that we must celebrate every new day, as Jonathan Lockwood Huie says, "Another sunrise, another new beginning."

In the similar vein Eleanor Roosevelt had once said that with the new day came new strength and new thoughts.

"Let every day be the first day of the rest of your life, but especially let today be a new beginning," adds Huie.
