The internet search engine giant Google has put up an animated and linked doodle with slogan 'Wear a Mask. Save Lives' on August 5 to encourage precautionary behavior against COVID-19.
In today's doodle, the letters of logo have been shown wearing a face mask along with linking the letter to the necessary steps helpful in preventing the spread of the virus since infection continues to spread with surges.
The precautions reinforced are as follows besides the use of face mask.
Cleaning of hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub
Maintaining a safe distance of 2 metres
Not touching the eyes, nose or mouth
Covering your nose and mouth with a tissue while coughing or sneezing
Going for first home quarantine if feeling unwell and seeking medical help and testing if there is fever, cough and difficulty breathing
It has been emphasized that that wearing masks alone does not protect against COVID-19. It must be combined with physical distancing and hand hygiene as well as following the advice provided by your local health authority.
