In 2022, Haryali Teej and Hartalika Teej is being celebrated in Rajasthan on July 31 to welcome Sawan Month and the rainy season. The festival is manly celebrated by women by enjoyng swings, wearing new sarees, fasting, singing, dancing, worshiping, sweets, worshiping and praying.
The festival of Teej is primarily dedicated to Devi Parvati and her union with Lord Shiva. Here in the inset picture, an acrostic on Teej is given for you to read and know the pupose of the festival. In Rajasthan, mandanas or wall paintings are done to mark the beginning of the festival in the morning.
