Updated: Feb 27, 2021

Apple cider is vinegar - a sort of very mild wine - made by fermenting apple juice twice and is available in most grocery shops.

Drinking apple cider vinegar has health advantages since it has beneficial nutrients and works as a natural laxative.

A typical dose consists of 1–2 tablespoons mixed with a glass of water, preferably warm water.

It is said its doses on an empty stomach maximize health benefits. However, it can also be had half-an-hour after food as a tonic consisting of half table spoon in half glass of water by drinking sip by sip.

It has been reported that regular intake of apple cider for a few months results into following benefits.

Benefits are as follows.

  • improves digestion

  • lowers blood sugar levels

  • helps in weight loss

  • lowers cholesterol

  • lowers blood pressure
