Hindu Rakhi Festival: A message with acrostic

Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi festival was celebrated on the last day of the Hindu lunar calendar month of Shravana, which fell on August 3 amid the COVID-19 pendamic restrictions and market for purchases of Rakhis and gifts was subdued.


On this day, sisters tie rakhi around the wrists of their brothers with promise of protecting them and carry out thr responsibility of their potential care. It is held that this has its origin in folk culture of India.
