Sun Flare Photography is practiced by professional photographers beyond the golden hours to create great pictures of the sun as the subject.


Here are a few important guidelines for sun flare photography for a beginner


As far possible keep the subject back-lighted by the sun and use the camera without hood. Do a bit manual adjustment of aperture setting of camera to get the best sun-flare effect

Locate yourself properly and try camera tilt-and-shift technique. Further, keep the ISO low or minimum possible if option is available in the camera


The best times for the sun-flares are the fore-noon and afternoon times with partially blocked sun.


You can create damaging sun-flared silhouettes with other subject in the foreground.


Protect your eyes from the sun flare by wearing dark glasses. Also use a tripod and timed-click to to take for sun-flare photos. Do editing and post-processing to enhance the sun flare effect.
