Today, July 30, is the International Friendship Day. Happy Times! But, on this occasion, it also important to know what good friend means. Someone has said rightly that good friendship is the hardest thing to explain in the world. Friendship is not something you learn in school of other institutions. On the occasion of Friendship Day, here are some anonymous thoughts collated and rephrased from the internet for you to mull over the meaning of good friendship.

  • A good friends allow a safe space to share deepest thoughts, feelings, aspirations and needs without worry of being judged, criticized or made to feel silly for their feelings.

  • Good friends cheer each other on, laugh and cry together, and just plain commiserate and listen to each other.

  • A good friend is someone we can count on, as well as being so much more.

  • A friend is someone with whom we can relax and just hang out, have fun and share our innermost thoughts, deep dark secrets, lofty and noble goals, or our hopes, joys, and fears.
