India celebrates National Doctor's Day to pay salute to frontline warriors in hard times of COVID-19

In India, the National Doctor's Day is celebrated on July 1 each year to thank doctors for their relentless service to the humanity as well to honour the legendary physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy on his birth and death anniversary, who also served as the second Chief Minister of West Bengal.


Deepak Arora, Medical Physicist and Radiographer, working in a private hospital in New Delhi, had been celebrating the day with is doctor colleagues with a little fun each year by organizing a co-creative physical art activity, messaged his colleagues, "Social distancing has impacted the co-creative physical art, anyway have a great day...Happy Doctor's Day...stay safe...stay healthy...smiles forever," while sharing a photograph of such an activity undertaken last year as depicted in the inset collage.


Poonam Grover write to Ex-Raist, "Doctors are serving community above themselves. Salute our dear Gods on the Earth." TD Garg on his facebook shared a card which read, "Thank You-Doc for everything you have done to keep me in the pink of health and best of spirits."
