The International Justice Day is observed on July 17 as an effort to recognize the emerging system of international criminal justice. It may be recalled that it was in 2010, at the Review Conference of the Rome Statute held in Kampala (Uganda), the Assembly of State Parties decided to celebrate 17 July as the Day of International Criminal Justice.
Since 201o, each year, events to promote international criminal justice are held across the world. However, this year the virtual events are being held due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on gatherings.
Here are some important statements
made by those who had been associated with observance in the past.
