Jain Paryushan Chalisa

1.       Paryushan's here, a time to pause and see / To look within, and set our spirit free.

2.       Not just a rite, but journey deep inside / Where faults are cleansed, and ego gently dies.

3.       In holy words, and chants that fill the air, / We seek the light, and banish all despair.

4.       From slumber wake, to wisdom's guiding hand, / To purify, and better understand.

5.       With mindful hearts, and bodies giving way, / To growth and change, that brighten every day.

6.       For liberation's call, a joyful, hopeful strive, / In inner peace, our souls can truly thrive.

7.       Paryushan calls, a quiet door,/ To dwell within, and seek much more.

8.       From slumber deep, to wisdom's glow, / A cleansing light, our spirits know.

9.       With holy words, and heart's soft plea, / We purify, and truly see.

10.    Old shadows fade, like morning mist, / A new, pure path, by spirit kissed.

----------------------------------------------------------

11.    Through silent thought, and peace we find, / To uplift soul, and free the mind.

12.    Towards freedom's joy, we gently climb, / Embracing grace, beyond all time.

13.    For Jains, Paryushan is a precious time, / An inward journey, a spirit's climb.

14.    Not just a ritual, but a call so deep, / For self to purify, secrets to keep.

15.    From old traditions, a path unfolds, / Where heart's true story bravely holds.

16.    With holy words and chants so clear, / Meditation calms all doubt and fear.

17.    Through penance, thought, and mindful grace, / Life finds its purity, in this sacred space.

18.    Awakening comes from slumber's night, / From shadowed ignorance to wisdom's light.

19.    A holy season, for self to mend,/ Through deep devotion, and growth without end.

20.    Body and mind, in practice steep, / Washing away old wrongs, while new virtues leap.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

21.    To higher joy, the soul aspires, / Moving closer to freedom's fires.

22.    To cleanse the heart and soul within, / Through fasting, let new life begin.

23.    Repent mistakes, with honest plea, / Forgiveness sought, sets spirit free.

24.    Reflect within, find inner peace, / Self-restraint, brings sweet release.

25.    Release the weight of deeds gone by, / Let karma's layers fade and die.

26.    "Micchami Dukkadam," words we speak, / Forgiveness asked, for strong and weak.

27.    For thoughts unkind, or words that sting, / Harmony's song, our hearts will sing.

28.    Paryushan calls, a gentle guide, / From worldly wants, to step aside.

29.    Not just to gain, but to ascend, / Towards liberation, without end.

30.    Through penance, study, disciplines, / A rebirth starts, where true self wins.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

31.    See others as yourself, with grace, / Equality found, in every face.

32.    Friendship's bond, let kindness grow, / No room for hate, no seeds to sow.

33.    Unity's call, rings loud and clear, / Peaceful lives, banish fear.

34.    Nonviolence, our guiding light, / Moral values, shining bright.

35.    With fasting's grace, we cleanse the soul, / Repent our wrongs, and make us whole.

36.    We look within, with quiet mind, / Self-control helps peace to find.

37.    To shed old layers, karma's chain, / From past mistakes, we break the pain.

38.    Paryushan shows, life's truest aim, / Not worldly gains, nor empty fame.

39.    But rising up, to set us free, / A pure new spirit, for all to see.

40.    Through penance deep, and honest thought, / A fresh new start, for all we've sought.
