Jaipur based researcher Dr Lalit Kishore at Disha wins Commonwealth Award-2020

The Commonwealth Award-2020 instituted by the Commonwealth Association of Science, Technology and Mathematics Educators (CASTME) has been awarded to Jaipur-based researcher Dr. Lalit Kishore of ‘Disha: A Resource Centre for Multiple Disabilities’.


It is the sixteenth time Dr. Kishore has won the coveted Commonwealth Award and made the hat trick of winning the award for the last three years consecutively.



"I am delighted to let you know that the CASTME Trustees were unanimous in their decision to award the Findel-CASTME Award to Disha Foundation for your entry, “Making Middle School Science to Spin, Swirl and Sway for Self- Development of Science Educator as Action Researcher and Learner-Teacher,” conveyed Kathleen Nugent, Vice Chair CASTME while congratulating the awardees in the the Community Awards section.


The innovative theme based project will receive award voucher for equipment or educational resources from the Hope Education International Primary Catalogue.


"The Awards will be formally announced in January 2021 and will also be publicized in the CASTME Newsletter and available to be used in Findel publicity material. The entry will also be available on the CASTME website," added Vice Chair CASTME.


It may be mentioned here that the CASTME is a professional organisation that links Science, Technology and Mathematics (STM) Educators across the Commonwealth with its Headquarters is in London, with Regional Branches in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Europe.
