In Mishra's book. the work done at Lok Jumbish (LJ) during 1990s on creating Minimum Levels of Learning (MLL) based textbooks has been mentioned which underlines the management the implementation of curriculum through recurrent training, monthly review of the students' progress and back-up support to teachers at the cluster level.

The LJ-textbooks had the lesson wise competency statements included which were to be attained by all students supported by remedial teaching so as to fulfil of aim of “Universal Achievement” besides the systemic aims of Universal Enrolment and Universal Retention of children in the primary classes.

In the reference section, Kishore's paper published in Education Review Journal [2] has been listed that describes the development and management of the competency based curriculum in Lok Jumbish Project in Rajasthan
