According to the National Council on Family Relations[1] of the US, this area of knowledge of Family Life Education or knowledge, skills and attitudes is related to 'the practice of equipping and empowering family members to develop knowledge and skills that enhance well-being and strengthen interpersonal relationships through an educational, preventive, and strengths-based approach' leading to 'healthy family functioning to prevent or minimize problems.'

I personally feel that when children are admitted to schools, there should short 'care-giver and child' workshop of a two-three weeks in family life education so that the institution and care-givers work with a common understanding for their own and child's development.
