A one-day workshop on ‘Pedagogy and Curriculum Planning for Enhancing Educational Quality and Learning Outcomes’ is going to be held on September 27 at Janata Senior secondary School, Jhansa Road, Kurukshetra, Haryana.
“Pedagogy is the science of teaching and learning which believes in innovation, experimentation and intervention designing to enhance learning outcomes and improve quality teachers, teaching and educational management. Pedagogical soundness of classroom processes has also being mandated by the National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020,” said the resource person Dr Lalit kishore ahead of the event.
He added, “It has been established that primary school level activity-based pedagogy, at the upper primary level multiple intelligence based pedagogy; and at secondary level study-units based disciplinary learning related pedagogy are most effective.”
According to the sponsor of the workshop, Prof DR Vij, GianMandir [1], the three sessions of the workshop will provide the conceptual understanding of pedagogy and advantages of pedagogic-centric school education for built-in quality in the schooling of students; Pedagogical approaches and their basic understanding; and transition of pedagogical approaches to classroom: and communication skills through system-support approach.
The host school, Janata Senior Secondary School [2] at Thanesar is excited and ready to welcome 25 participants from local schools who wish to professionalize their practice.
