The article of blogger Dr Lalit Kishore on 'mandala art' has been displayed by Printerest ( visit link at the end of the news)
The article [1] goes as follows
The sacred art of Mandala drawing, floor decoration and painting consists of patterns with concentric expanding circles that combine the involutionary and evolutionary processes of conscious realisation to reach individual enlightenment through unconditional compassion and spontaneity of insightful wisdom.
In Indian and Tibetan Buddhism, mandalas are deemed as spiritual art that is about 2600 years old amd was practiced in gompas' meditation halls.
However, the adaptations of mandalas as a fine art form, as a hobby, as a part of rangoli, in vastu designs and as art therapy as well as spiritual therapy interventions have been reported.
In the inset picture, the mandala artwork of Faridabad based hobbyist Pardeep Arora has been shown which has added colours to his post-retirement life.
