Making on-line learning possible from the school or classroom

With online learning becoming a mainstay, teachers are needed to be trained for planning and executing lessons in a virtual classroom

Identify the content segment or learning episode since it has various templates to organise information for delivery in 20 minutes and then give it a concept or competence title to know the objective of the lesson

Read the content and create a concept map

Incorporate 3-5 visuals, pictures / graphics / micro or short videos, GIFs / visual props like flash cars, traced diagrams with transcriptions to retain attention and engagement

Use a good chalkboard or white board. If possible use an online whiteboard and create a virtual classroom.

It may be clarified here that a virtual classroom is a software-based and internet driven instructional setting hat mimics the feature of face-to-face classroom. Both, the teachers and her students participate in live online classes on various lessons of the day as if they are attending a class in a school.

Students communicate with the teacher and one another as well attend the presentation of the lesson by the teacher from the virtual classroom.

Main tips

  • Keep lesson short for engagement and digesting information by keeping information brief and interesting

  • Use a good amount or variety of visual elements since they simplify cotent and make it more understandable

  • Make a learning blog available for flipiing the classroom as readiness for virtual classroom engagement
