At the recently concluded International Gita Conference -2025, the paper “Development of an Analogical Research Lesson on Linking Mathematics Concepts on Empty Set and Infinite Universal Set Linkage with Select Bhagavad Gita Verses" was presented by Bhavana of Panipat in the eleventh technical session held on november 26. The abstract of the inter-disciplinary R & D paper, guided by Jaipur based educator and researcher Dr Lalit Kishore of, is as follows.

"The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) 2023 advocate for the inclusion of the scripture of the Bhagavad Gita (BG) in the curriculum, either through integration or as a standalone discipline. Motivated by this perspective, a research lesson was created utilizing a focus group (N=3, consisting of an Educator, a Maths Teacher, and a Head Teacher) through a rapid R&D methodology.

The research aimed to achieve the following objectives: (1) To identify verses that pertain to the purification of the mind from evils and sins; (2) To develop reading worksheets that relate to the mathematical concepts of zero and infinity; (3) To create an analogical reasoning sheet that draws from set theory to convey the Gita's message regarding a sinful mindset. The research lesson was discussed in a group setting, leading to the finalization of two silent reading activities, vocabulary building exercises, and an awareness of the spiritual and philosophical messages of the Bhagavad Gita.

The research outcomes included the identification of verses BG 3.37 and BG 16.21 from the scripture. This objectives-outcomes driven rapid research resulted in the creation of two validated worksheets. The research lesson is designed for tenth-grade students and is intended to be implemented in the upcoming session. Given that the NEP encourages institutions and educational professionals to be innovative, interdisciplinary lesson studies can serve as a crucial approach for this."
