These days, during the COVID-19 pandemic, doctors are stressing prevention measures and self-care. It reminds us the famous quote "The best doctors in the world are Doctor Diet, Doctor Quiet, and Doctor Merryman" of Jonathan Swift.
Here are few quotes which convey the significance of prevention and self-care for you to read and mull over.
"I am a doctor - it's a profession that may be considered a special mission, a devotion. It calls for involvement, respect and willingness to help all other people," once said Dr Ewa Kopacz
"The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will instruct his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet, and the cause and prevention of disease," states Thomas A. Edison
Even a health worker, Jerry Hall, once said, "I love yoga... I also see an Ayurvedic doctor, which is an ancient Indian thing. I go and see the doctor to balance my system twice a year; it's preventative. They take my pulse, give me some herbs, and tell me what I should eat and what I should avoid. They rub oil on me too, it's so lovely. It's like a detox."
