With the advent of good smartphone cameras and some in-built softwares, fine art photography is being extended by overlapping it with many other genres of art and photography.
Through my experimentation, I found the following steps with my smart phone camera to create fine art photographic picture.
Process
Make a random sketch, as you may, with painting material or sketching material
Take a photograph with a digital camera of smartphone camera
Crop the picture to its most interesting part
Subject the cropped sketch to multiple mirroring effect , wave effect or the mix of the two with editing software
Crop the edited picture for most interesting and expressive portion
Give a boarder to your final product for framing
Display your work
My experiment paid-off with recognition and winning honours
With extremely versatile cameras in smartphones the lines between conventional fine art and photographic art have blurred. The blended digital photo-art is being framed to be put in art museums and galleries.
The insect pictures of my photo-art have been art-recognition websites, namely, 'show your talent' and 'art house'.
