The blogger, who is an educator-researcher, has tried pattern poetry for cognitive gains in learning of physics along with enhancing the verbal-linguistic intelligence and musical-rhythmic intelligence of students. One of his papers was accepted for the “Sixth International Conference on Imagination and Education: Imaginative Practice, Imaginative Inquiry.”
In his paper “Forging Physics and language Art Links with Haiku Poetry”, Dr Lalit Kishore demonstrated the use of Japanese language art of three-line poetry for creating poems on physics concept for recitation and holding jam sessions for such poetry. The conference organized by “Imaginative Education Research Group” appreciated the physics instruction and language art link as an innovative and imaginative method of physics instruction to enliven the classroom.
With acceptance of the innovation at an international conference, he has brought science learning and pattern poetry of pyramid genre as integral part of daily learning episodes at Plenum School in HP.
