Process based learning of physical science is significantly efficacious as compared to lectures

Updated: Aug 23, 2021

Highlighting the advantages of process-based learning of physical sciences with references drawn from successful low-cost experiments and practices by various organizations and individuals, Marwaha and Singh (2020) [1], while citing the work of Kishore [2] at Lok Jumbish, hold that such examples were 'pointers to a much better alternative for teaching learning of Physics through demonstrations instead of abstract theorization of concepts through lectures inside the classroom.'

Citation on the bases of Kishore's (2021) work and experience teaching 'Nuffield Physics as experimental science' at Mayo College, Ajmer; working as Visiting Faculty of Summer Institutes in Physics at Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer for three years;and Director Lok Jumbish during implementation of process-based EVS curriculum, goes as follows.

CITATION

Kishore (2021) finds that the process-based learning of physical sciences through teacher-devised low-cost experiments and demonstrations is significantly efficacious as compared to the lecture method.
