Punjab and Haryana farmers calling the three farm sector bills passed in Lok Sabha 'anti farmer' and 'worse than coronavirus' have blocked roads and rail tracks.
The agitating farmers have warned the Punjab MPs who supported the Bills not to enter the villages.
The bills allow the barrier-free trade for agricultural produce forcing the farmers to enter into agreements with corporate houses and other private players before or after their toil for sale of their produce.
Farmer unions are likely to move the Supreme Court and hold a protest in New Delhi to press for rollback of anti-farmer bills since they would be exploited by the profit-making corporate giants.
Most farmers feel that contract farming, land leasing and sale of land by small farmers will dis-empower them and their exploitation will increase through monopoly of powerful corporators and big exporters in the agriculture industry.
