In India, the festival of Navratri is being observed these days which will culminate on October 24.
"Every Indian festival has a spiritual significance behind its celebration. But, over the years we have become more ritualistic in celebrating our festivals and special days. Worst of all, the market forces have turned the festivals into meaningless fun, materialistic enjoyment and sale of commercial products. Currently, the ten-day festival of Navaratri is on and one can find papers full of ads regarding discount sale events and market place music and dance festivities" I had written in the article earlier at scratchmysoul portal.
In Hinduism, Feminine Divine, Sacred Feminine or Shaktism is one of the three major Hindu denominations of worship along with Vishnu and Shiva. The main spriritual aspect of Hinduism is to reclaim the God and Goddess within or harmonise the masculine and feminine divinities.
During Navaratri, two divinities, one as male energy and other as female energy, working as a pair, are to be realised within but with the notion that Shakti of Feminine Divine is the real principle of energy through which divinity functions.
Here are some of mine Haiku free-verses to describe Feminine Divine.
Divine feminine
is around and within us
waiting our response.
***
Divine feminine
gives us rebirth to nurture self
to its wholeness.
***
Divine feminine
is folded within her creation.
So unfold yourself.
***
Divine feminine
spirit is life's real essence
to be reclaimed.
***
Sensual joys make us
forget feminine divine -
cosmic oneness.
