Remembering Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary: An acrostic on Gandhi and a short note

Today, India is celebrating the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Born: 2 October 1869; Died:30 January 1948) - an anti-imperialist social reformer who using the nonviolent resistance to free the country from the British rule on August 15, 1947.


His birth anniversary is commemorated in India as Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday. Also, the day is observed the International Day of Nonviolence proclaimed by the UN.


Gandhi is commonly called Bapu and Mahatma Gandhi or simply Gandhi Ji.


Let's remember the qualities, values and traits of Gandhi Ji on his Jayanti and evoke those qualities to fight the present day evils.
