Two low-cost science activity books “Activities in Life Sciences” (English) and “Science Experiments with Plastic Tongue Cleaners” (Hindi version: Plastic Jibhi se Vigyan ki Gatividhiyan) co-authored by Dr Lalit Kishore and Tushar Tamhane have been contributed to and included in the ‘Internet Archive: Digital Library[1]’ as ‘Community Texts’.
‘Community Texts’ are books contributed by the community and one can find book in many lanuages of the world displayed and made accessible on the internet by Archive.org.
Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more, it is added. Anyone can contribute the book on their site.
"Archive.org supports metadata about items in just about any language so long as the characters are UTF8 encoded," informs their website with a help desk[2].
Activities from the Hindi version (Translation by Dr. OP Kulhari) have been used by Education-for-All Project 'Lok Jumbish' in 1990s implemented in Rajasthan State of India.
