Significance of street plays as pedagogical and social awareness tool in the digital technological era

Significance of the street plays in education cannot be denied due to their engaging and accessible characteristics, particularly for disseminating information and raising awareness on social implication of science and technology. It is held that, due to the simplicity in performance and direct participation, street plays can be quickly scripted and performed, they offer a dynamic, interactive and memorable learning experience along with developing critical thinking and promoting social change and behaviour modification. Furthermore, they can be videographed and put on the social media platformed as was done in the present case (Kishore, 2025, this website)
Moreover, street plays can work as therapeutic experience in case of addictions, including mobile addiction and trauma of cyber crimes since use the use of digital technology and blended learning becoming the norm of teaching. Thus, street plays offer a unique and effective pedagogical and therapeutical approach that can be integrated into various educational contexts to promote learning, awareness, and positive social change.
