Fire photography considers the beauty, shape, colours and fluidity of fire as its subject. Fire is lighted up to burn old things, during festivities, at worship places and during the merrymaking of bonfires, which provide occasion of fire photography..
TIPS
Hold the camera firmly to capture the sharpness and detail of the fire or its parts.
Use a narrow aperture or a large f-number such as like f/8 or more. It will give deep yellow, orange and red colours of the fires.
For composing with other subjects around the fire, increase the ISO value
For creating Silhouette by putting objects or people in front of a rire and take the picture from behind
For a very bright fire, proper exposure time or distance from the fire are needed to be considered. It needs to be kept in mind that over exposure makes fire images dull and unflattering.
EXPERIMENTATION
Experimentation in fire photography with distance, zoom in, focus on interesting pats of flame, etc., can be interesting ways to get a hang of fire photography.
Experiment with photographing the top dancing parts of the flame
Creating a GIF with dancing flame with a few continuous shots can also be a good experiment.
