Spoken word refers to oral poetic performing art that combines the presenter's poem as well as his or her aesthetic, graceful and subtle stage presence and performance qualities.
Spoken word performances require memorization, performative body language such as gestures, short physical movements and facial expressions, enunciation, right pronunciation and gentle eye contact with viewers.
Spoken word poetry can be used in the classroom by the teacher since it the poetry that doesn't have to rhyme throughout, it is recited a bit aloud with certain parts can be rhymed to give it a lyrical quality to hook the listeners.
However, it must be a written poetic piece must have five basic components of good language such as phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics.
