A three-hour teachers’ workshop was held during pre-pandemic period in 2019 for creating an experiential learning framework for the senior teachers of Motilal Nehru School of Sports at Rai in Haryana state in which 30 teachers participated. The workshop was sponsored by Silver Jubilee batch of the MNSS alumni then.
Resource person, Dr Lalit Kishore, the ex-teacher of the host school and currently working as research fellow in Jaipur based Disha Foundation, in his opening statement said, “An experiential learning based classroom instruction for senior school level students requires micro-learning multi-modal communication activities that draws strength from educational psychology of multiple intelligence.”
Three sessions were held during the workshop, namely, ‘experiential micro-learning approach’; ‘educational psychology of multiple intelligence’ and ‘feminist pedagogy for right-hemispheric development’.
The workshop was conducted with examples from from the micro-learning episodes from science subjects to cover the three sessions which were treated as ‘experiential training’ and they were collectively analysed to ‘construct knowledge’ which is the end-point of any micro-learning episode.
