The System as Architecture of Blind Compliance: A Manifesto for Culture of Silence

Currently, Indian Gen Z is being branded as unruly, chaotic, and inherently destructive despite their peaceful protests. This labeling is a deliberate political tactic designed to justify a multi-layered supression of containment of the cries for protection of citizens' democratic rights and systemic accountability.

But, for those who hold power, peace has never been the absence of violence; it is the enforcement of silence. To the ruler, a peaceful society is a quiet one—a faithfully orchestrated machinery of compliance where the gears turn without friction, and the subjects accept their reality without interrogation.

When power structures speak of "rules," "order" and "stability," they are using them as ploys for submission. The present rulers demand a culture of silence because silence is the bedrock upon which unaccountable authority is built.

An Inspired Decastich

The crown equates its peace with silent tongues,

And brands the voice of reform as a crime.

Gen Z demands the rights so long withheld,

But meets the whip of an unyielding time.

Through bars of law and walls of structured fear,

They turn the home and classroom into cells.

To crush the rising threat of active minds,

And silence every truth the future tells.

Yet quiet rooms cannot erase the flame,

Of those who refuse to play a broken game.
