One may remove unnecessary clutter that a clean canvas props up. Shoot early morning to allow as much natural light to get into the house as possible, minimum extra light should be used. It would be advisable to use a tripod to eliminate any camera shake blurs while shooting in interior lighting conditions.
Include flowers, plants, colorful rugs, stylish furniture, handing buld shades, art pieces, mirrors, photo frames as props. For mirrors the camera angle should be more that 30 degrees.
When photographing a room with wide shots experiment with vignette shots. Rugs in the foreground or along the diagonal can be good idea. Rugs near the door can be the foreground, mid-ground and background.
Shift-and-tilt along with experimenting with camera heights can lead to unique home decore pictures.
