During spring season and early summer time, there of flower bloom in Indian gardens and parks. If you have a smartphone, you can make use it’s camera to take interesting pictures of flowers by deviating from the usual see-and-shoot habits. Often, most of us stand over a flower or bunch of flowers and shoot downwards or from front vertically.
Here are a few tips to try slightly different flower mobilography.
Try to include something else along with a flower such as an insect , droplets of water, small feather etc.
Take pictures of bud as well as when it starts wilting away to get new textures Try shift and tilt shots including shooting from below and low angles in which flowers appear larger and serene due to blue of the sky.
Shoot from eye level by getting closer to the flower from a parallel plane to get slight inner view of the flower
Use a zoom or a macro lens with your smartphone to get details and unique structure without bothering about the total flower
While taking a picture of a group of small flowers or a big flower like rose of lily, you should have a white or light color paper behind and close to the flowers to make foreground a bit blurry.
Take photographs when sky is overcast or in the golden hours. If it blight light use an umbrella to cast shadow on flowers
At time use the background of the same colour hue as that of the flower or use totally black black back ground for a contrast. Also, attempt at showing that how flowers change over time
