Unconventional arts enhance visual intelligent & promote art-linked learning: Awardee Dr Kishore

"Art integrated experiential learning, not only promotes critical thinking and creativity but also helps in enhancing visual intelligence across ability spectrum,by enabling learners to experience multi-disciplinary connections between academic subjects and various topics," said educator and researcher Dr Lalit Kishore whose work in doodle art and digital art has been recognized and honored by Angel's Gallery and Art House (See inset pics and collages).



Assisted by the art teacher Umang, he has applied doodling and minimal drawing art for science topics at Plenum School in the state of Himachal Pradesh of India which helped the high school level students to present the topics effectively with better retention of subject matter and it's presentation.


According to Dr Kishore, doodling decoration consists of unconscious drawing and scribbling being filled with patterns as shading technique while digital art for academic purposes consists use the basic techniques of mirroring and wavy distortions for school students.


Of late, various examination boards have been batting for art-integrated learning rightfully for whole brain learning through visual-intelligence based instruction. The training in presentation skills and topic research at the school level can incorporate art-integrated learning effectively, the intervention at Plenum School revealed.
