Learning disabilities are basically brain-related or neurological disorders that affect the ability to understand or use following aspects related to formal learning.

-direct attention or attentiveness
--sensory participation in hands-on tasks
-coordination of limb movements
-spoken or written language
-mathematical concepts and calculations
-active memory

At times, learning disabilities occur in early childhood but not recognized since such children have normal IQ and reasonable self-awareness until the child reaches the school age and performs badly due dismal performance in learning tasks in convention school settings. Because of this reason, learning disabilities are also called 'hidden disabilities'.

Researches have shown that in various communities or settlements, 8 to 10 percent of children some type of learning disability and schools and educators are required design separate learning material for children with learning disabilities and allow them to learn at paces conformable for their slow-placed style of learning.
