Understanding Ontology: Quotes and ABCs

Ontology quotes

'What is there?’ It can be answered, moreover, in a word — ‘Everything’ — and everyone will accept this answer as true. ~ Willard Van Orman Quine

I'm apt to get drunk on words...Ontology: the word about the essence of things; the word about being. ~ Madeleine L'Engle

Nothing that is so is so. ~William Shakespeare

In every phenomenon, the beginning remains hidden, and the origin comes to light only to the extent that the phenomenon, revealing itself, withdraws. ~ Martin Heidegger
