The World First Aid Day was observed on 12 September this year since second Saturday of the month fell on this date to raise awareness about health literacy and importance of keeping the first aid kit handy. It is being help that every citizen must learn to provide first aid to the needy person before rushing the person to the hospital.
The observance was proclaimed by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in 2000 to educate and train people with the following two aims
To create awareness about the benefits of first aid
To get trained in the right way to provide first aid
