World celebrates Nowruz festival on March 21

Nowruz festival that marks the beginning of the New Year is being celebrated on March 21 this year across the world. The festival is celebrated in big way in the Islamic Republic of Iran as the Persian New Year.
US President Barack Obama issued his annual statement to mark Nowruz and wished "Nowruz Mubarak" to everyone celebrating Nowruz, cross the United States and in countries around the world informing that at White House a Haft Seen has been created representing hopes for the new year.
The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the eve of the Nouroz day of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
"On the joyous occasion of Nouroz, I am delighted to convey my warm greetings and best wishes to Your Excellency and to the people of Iran" conveyed Mukherjee to Dr. Hassan Rouhani, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Paris community in India celebrates Jamshed Nouroz on the day of the spring Equinox which nominally falls on March 21 to mark a new dawn in everyone's life. On this day as a part of festivities two special dishes are served in Parsi families. One of the dishes is called Ravo which is made with Suji, milk and sugar. The other one consist s of fried vermicelli cooked in sugar syrup and sprinkled with raisins and almond slivers.
The Parsis in our country have integrated themselves well into Indian society while simultaneously maintaining their own distinct customs and traditions. They have contributed tremendously in the field of industry, commerce, culture and science.
