In a workshop related to flipped classroom by Jaipur based educator and researcher Dr Lalit Kishore, which was reported as as a news story “Convert classrooms into educational laboratories, recommends KV workshop” [1] in the portal Merinews’ the idea of action research linked to study at home and get your difficulties removed in the school was discussed and promoted..
“The aim of the workshop was to understand action research and link it to the concept of flipped classroom or reverse teaching as a theme to begin with,” said Dr Kishore.
The news story was picked by an international website on ‘Flipped Learning’ [2] and has been listed by them for promoting the concept.
Definition of 'Flipped Learning' has been released by the website on March 12, 2014, to counter common misconceptions and bring clarity to discussions about the intervention. Accordingly the governing board and key leaders of the Flipped Learning Network (FLN) have announced a formal definition of the term, which goes as follows,
"Flipped Learning is a pedagogical approach in which direct instruction moves from the group learning space to the individual learning space, and the resulting group space is transformed into a dynamic, interactive learning environment where the educator guides students as they apply concepts and engage creatively in the subject matter."
