International Women's Day 2025: Google's doodle on women's STEM participation and blogger's language art work on feminist pedagogy

UN deems that the International Women's Day ,is observed on 8 March, to highlight the challenges, backlashes against gender equality' wherein gender 'equality is the game changer.'


The UN has urged the world community to accelerate action and march forward for women's rights since at this juncture the world cannot afford a step back.


Two main actions, mainly, the action to strengthen and implement laws to end all forms of violence against women and girls along with the action to secure women's full participation in decision-making.


Google, the internet search engine giant, celebrates the observance with an artistic doodle on 'Women In STEM' while appreciating the 'ongoing progress towards gender equality,' and pointing out that 'yet STEM remains one of the areas where significant gaps still persist' since only '29% women in the STEM fields worldwide
