NOTE ON INTERNSHIP

According to the US Division of Student Affairs, an internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study, career exploration & development, and learning new skills. Internship orients the student to the organization, its culture and proposed work assignment(s). Basically, in the US, an internships is seen as a supervised and structured learning experience in a professional setting with a minimum of 120 hours.

To a novice raw hand, with eagerness to learn,

To grasp and garner the right professional skills

Through interactions, observations and hands-on

An internship provides real time learning thrills

Through lit up organisation's archives and rooms

A tapestry of knowledge with varied facets blooms.

Mentors 'n other seasoned hands are guiding light,

Illuminating mind to learn and grow and be bright

Field work 'n task completed is a step up higher,

The start with support, it's walk with steady grace,

Mentor's kind gaze lets intern grows in time 'n space.
