Teacher made curricular GIFs have multiple benefits

It has been found that teacher-made GIFs (Graphics Interchange Format) can provide both thinking and writing prompts.

Some teachers have used self-made GIFs with stick drawings or line drawings to illustrate a story or a concept since the successive drawing frames can provide animation as short presentations as shown in the inset GIF on parts of the plants created by me.

Teachers with little learning and more experimentation can add GIF animation element to their digital teaching to replace a few frames of traditional text based slideshows which they often use.

Furthermore, GIFs in teaching make students meaningfully attentive towards an on-going topic. It has discovered if teacher can use a GIF either in the beginning or end of a lesson it will have an impact on learning by students.

At times, using the GIPHY browser extension, teachers can drag and drop GIFs straight into a Google Doc for use in digital instruction via Google Classroom.
