Wrap grip ergonomics that helps children with mild-moderate dysgraphia

Children with mild and moderate dysgraphia require tools-grip ergonomics; designed fine motor exercises with things of daily life use; and coordination skills enhancement activities.



The modifications and adaptions are required for the grip which fits perfectly to the conditions of hand and its development of fine motor muscles.



At the initial stage, thumb position to create optimum pressure on contact surface on the tool is to squired for the person to get habituated is required and thereafter position and of rest three or four fingers is to be learned.


If you read the collage, you will find that a moderately dysgraphic child would require a modified thermal glove to keep fingers straight before wrapping them on the tool handle and placement of thumb at a marked position to relieve strain on the carpal tunnel of the hand along with providing enhance wrap grip.


For fine motor skills enhancement, the procedural back-and-forth movement of a grill-gate with prop re wrap grip is recommended as shown in the video. It works as an appropriate physical therapy
