Here is a citation that can be linked to art-integrated learning of the Bhagavad Gita
Kishore & Kishore (2026)[1] deem religious and spiritual icon artwork consists of sacred images, line drawing of religious symbols, text word clouds, mandalas, yantras, calligraphy, clouds figures or events that serve as a focus for prayer, meditation, contemplation, visual focus, concentration and veneration. however, creating such symbolic line drawing with tribal and folk ways of depictions helps in enhancement of attentiveness as part of Bhakti or devotional work. According to them, such drawings done aesthetically and decorated in various ways can be considered religious and spiritual art since they can facilitate a spiritual connection between the physical and spiritual worlds. At times such art is called iconography which is symbolic art which is not real but aesthetic and decorated representation of reality.

Experimenting with the Bhagavad Gita Inspired Iconography with Doodling Decoration, In Sub-Theme Art as a Path to Inner Peace and Universal Harmony in the Light of the Bhagavad Gita, Paper presented at 10th International Gita Conference 2025. (24th - 26th November) on Swadharma and Swadeshi in Srimad Bhagawad Gita: Inspiration for Duty, Peace and Harmony.
In Summary
Kishore and Kishore (2026) highlight the role of spiritual artwork as a visual focus for meditation, emphasizing that symbolic, tribal-style line drawings and doodle art to enhance attentiveness during Bhakti. yoga sessions. They argue that this aesthetic iconography acts as a semi-abstract representation of reality, facilitating a deep spiritual connection aligned with the Gita’s message of serving as a divine instrument (Kishore 2o26)
